A Message from Our
Founder
We have an enemy (Satan) in the world that tries to destroy us
everyday is a battle. In this world there are pregnant, orphaned and
homeless girls. There are girls who feel no hope they are scared
misguided shattered or traumatized maybe abused addicted
rejected or dont love themselves. Abortion is a trap set by the
enemy, leaving many broken lives full of pain and emptiness in its
aftermath. Many pregnant girls feel they have no choice. We are in
AMERICA girls do have a choice! There is help The Virginia Martin
House of Abundant Life brings a choice of LIFE and HOPE to those who
find themselves in despair and turmoil.
When life is at a crossroad we offer more than food, clothing and a
roof over their heads. We offer answers to reverse the negative
cycles. The answer lies in a faith based program, such as the House of
Abundant Life, where the miraculous power of Jesus Christ is allowed
to bring change and healing to the broken.
Help us stand in the gap. As you partner with us, you extend your hand
to one in need. You can plant a seed! Will you give only to feed one
person and it will be gone in a moment with nothing to reap more
harvest? Or will you, by partnering with the Abundant House of Life,
plant a seed that will grow and produce change in a life that will
keep on producing to the next generation. Make a difference in a life,
give a young girl HOPE and a chance to CHOOSE LIFE. Virginia Martin

The Mission statement from the Virginia Martin House of Abundant Life
is The mission of the Virginia Martin House of Abundant Life is to
minister to the needs of young ladies and to encourage choices that
are positive and are in an atmosphere of hope and healing.
The Vision is The House will provide shelter, food, compassionate
care, along with academic education, job readiness, and life skills
training, to equip each young lady with the necessary tools to lead
productive lives in their communities. These young ladies will range
in ages of 12 17.
About Virginia Martin
Virginia Martin understands the fear and concerns of young women who
find themselves pregnant or at their wits end. She found herself one
of those women.
When Virginia was 15 years old, her world was rocked, her father died
suddenly at the age of 42. It left her and her 3 siblings without a
dad, and left her mom without the breadwinner. She refused to become a
statistic of a fatherless home. She became the mom for her younger
brothers and sister while her mom worked sometimes 5 jobs to keep the
family together.
Her world went different directions and one day she found herself
pregnant and alone. It was then that she discovered a new level of the
meaning I will be the father to the father-less.
God blessed her for not aborting that baby, and for crawling into His
arms. She and her husband having a burning desire for their community
and showing the love of God to all.
They founded D Upper Room Ministries, Inc. and pastor the Church of
D Upper Room.
Thank you, Virginia Martin, for your vision, and heart for young
women. May thousands of young ladies find hope and delivering healing
at the Virginia Martin House of Abundant Life.
